Entities and spelling

What are Entities?

Have you ever noticed how a transcript might spell a name phonetically? It might write "Calibre" when your company is actually called "Qalibre." Hunting down every instance of that in outputs is nobody's idea of a good time.

That's where Entities come in. Entities are the key nouns - names, companies, locations, and products - that Contented automatically detects in your conversation. The Entities panel gives you one place to review and correct them all at once, so the right spelling flows through everything you generate.

Why bother with Entities?

Because accurate inputs mean accurate outputs. Here's what you get:

  • Guaranteed accuracy. Fix "David Sterling" to "David Stirling" once, and every summary, insight, and document you create will use the right name.

  • Saved time. No more ctrl+F-ing through an output. You fix it once in the Entities panel and Contented handles the rest.

  • Consistent quality. Product names, stakeholder titles, company-specific acronyms - all spelled and capitalised correctly, every time.

How to generate your entities

After your conversation has been transcribed, generating entities takes about 30 seconds.

  1. Navigate to the conversation in the conversation library and click into the conversation.

  2. Click the Entities button in the top action bar.

  3. In the panel that appears on the right, click Generate Entities.

  4. Contented will scan your entire transcript and identify all the key terms it can find, grouped by category. You can click into each entity to update the spelling then click 'Update'.

Good to know: Entities are generated per conversation. It's worth doing this before you create any content - corrections you make here will automatically apply to everything you generate from that conversation.

Nice work. Your outputs will thank you.
